Step 6. Find a Realtor

It is in your best interest to work with a real estate agent who represents you throughout the buying process.  Most importantly, if you are purchasing a home that has been listed for sale by a realtor, the seller has an agent representing their interests, you should have one too.

What we do

As a buyer’s agent, we organize and streamline the whole process. We do the leg work that most buyers don’t have time or don’t realize they should do. Your agent can spend a lot of time searching for a home that suits your needs and set up appointments for you to tour. We check for open permits, flood elevation, and property history before you make an offer. We help you decide on an offer strategy and write up the contract. We serve as a buffer during price negotiations. Once a house is under contract, your agent will handle repair estimates and negotiations, facilitate paperwork between the lender and the title company, make sure deadlines are met, facilitate the appraisal and set up the survey. We guide you to the closing table and take a load of work off your hands.
